Located on the Thimphu-Punakha highway, Dochula Pass is one of the most favoured places of Bhutan and is known for its panoramic views, activities and ancient monuments.
Dochula Pass is also popular for being home to Druk Wangyal Chortens, a place where 108 memorial stupas are located and built in memory of Bhutanese soldiers who lost their lives in war. The top of the Dochula Pass offers one of the most beautiful views of the Himalayan region along with other nearby valleys and villages. The place is also filled with vibrant religious flags that offer a picturesque view of the place.
With clean roads and beautiful hairpin bends, the pass is a common destination for bike lovers who visit Dochula Pass throughout the year.
Although the place is located at an elevation of 3,100m people can reach the top of the mountain by hiking through the rough trails along with witnessing the picture views of the valley.
